As the person in charge of domestic produce items like carrots or apples, you will act as the link between producers (such as farmers and JA) and major supermarkets or wholesalers. Your main role is to negotiate and determine prices.
Specific responsibilities include:
🍎 Quality check & pricing
Assess the size, freshness, and overall quality of produce to determine appropriate pricing (auction-style).
🔎 Visiting production areas & gathering information
Travel to farms and production regions across Japan to stay updated on the latest production trends and conditions.
💪 Proposals & support for retailers
Communicate product features and propose ideas—such as small-portion packaging or new consumption methods—to increase product value and sales opportunities.
