Profile
We design and manufacture steering systems, including Electric Power Steering (EPS), the key component that delivers the "turn" function among a vehicle's three core elements of "go, turn, stop."
We supply these products to automakers in Japan and overseas.
Beyond simply meeting customer requirements, we develop products that support advanced autonomous driving and driver-assistance functions, improving performance and operability while consistently ensuring quality and safety.
Electric Power Steering (Column Type)
A system suited to compact vehicles, with the power-assist unit positioned inside the cabin. The design accounts for driver safety in the event of a collision and includes countermeasures against unpleasant noise.
Electric Power Steering (Pinion Type)
By positioning the power-assist unit at the pinion in the engine room, this system delivers high power output.
Widely applied mainly to mid-size vehicles, it comes in a broad range of variations.
Steering Column & Intermediate Shaft
Developed with NSK's proprietary technology, our steering columns offer excellent shock-absorption properties and contribute significantly to improved safety.
Using advanced analysis techniques, we have also developed lightweight yet highly rigid columns that enhance steering stability and provide comfortable handling. Our intermediate shafts and rack-and-pinion components rotate smoothly with minimal play and noise.
