At nextbeat, we have abolished the traditional standardized starting salary system for new graduates. Instead, we offer tailored compensation and positions based on each individual's skills and potential. Both hiring and onboarding are available year-round, allowing students to begin working even while still enrolled in university, should they choose to do so. Our organization is built on the principle that “those who deliver results should be fairly recognized,” regardless of age, gender, tenure, or background. This performance-based approach also applies fully to our prospective hires. (1) Personalized Offers Based on Ability We provide compensation packages and position levels that reflect each candidate’s skills and value. In addition to academic achievements and extracurricular experience, we also evaluate performance in internships at nextbeat, if applicable. Interns work alongside executive officers, functional heads, or business leaders on responsibilities equivalent to full-time employees—such as launching new businesses. Depending on performance, candidates may be offered leadership or management positions from the outset, rather than entry-level roles. (2) Year-Round Hiring and Flexible Start Dates We have eliminated the traditional fixed April start date. With our year-round hiring model, students graduating in the fall or at other times of the year can join us seamlessly. This flexibility allows candidates to choose the timing that best suits their individual situation. In fact, one candidate this year joined us even before graduating. (3) Mentorship Program nextbeat has grown rapidly in its 10 years since founding, now with about 360 employees across 12 offices in Japan. Our team includes professionals from diverse backgrounds: entrepreneurs, alumni of large corporations, major tech ventures, global consulting firms, and international talent. Following a job offer, candidates can receive mentorship not only from HR but also from employees across other departments.
