Because the work directly involves the development of essential infrastructure, you’ll feel a strong sense of contributing to the local community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 🏛️ On-Site Supervisor for Reinforced Concrete and Steel Frame Buildings 📊 Stationed at the assigned construction site to manage quality, safety, scheduling, and cost 💬 Communicate with clients and nearby residents (e.g., reporting progress, gathering requests) 🔎 Select subcontractors and provide direction and supervision for their work 💡 Construction management is not “doing the on-site labor” but rather “managing the site.” Because you will be involved in building essential infrastructure directly connected to people’s daily lives, you can truly feel the impact you are making on the local community. 👷 As the primary contractor, you will be responsible for civil engineering construction management on both private and public projects — from private-sector work such as land development, retaining walls, and exterior work for apartments and condominiums, to public-sector work such as roads, rivers, bridges, water and sewer systems, and parks.

Application Requirements

・Currently enrolled at a university in Japan and expected to graduate by March 2026 (applicants with a specified activity visa for job hunting are also eligible). ・Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) level N3 or equivalent (work will be conducted in Japanese, so Japanese reading and conversational skills are required). ・No restrictions on field of study or major.

What is a Construction Management Position?

In short, it’s a supervisory role! What construction managers do: ・Decide the construction schedule ・Decide how the construction work should be done ・Request workers from subcontractor companies ・Give instructions to workers on how to carry out the construction work

A Day in the Life of a Construction Manager (Working at the Site Office)

08:00–08:30 — Arrival, morning assembly, orientation for new entrants ↓ 08:30–12:00 — Site patrol and meetings with contractors ・Check progress of work ・Issue safety warnings for hazardous tasks ↓ 12:00–13:00 — Lunch break ↓ 13:00–16:30 — Afternoon assembly, photo documentation, computer work ・Confirm the work details for the next day ・Prioritize hazard areas ・Check and coordinate vehicles for loading and unloading ・Report and coordinate any changes or modifications ↓ 16:30–17:00 — Site patrol, check locks and secure the site, then finish work
